Today, December 3, 2024, a special event was organized for children at the PEACE FOUNDATION in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), highlighting the importance of guidance and spirituality in their development. One of the highlights of this day was the « Our Father » prayer, also known as « Padre Nuestro » in Spanish. This prayer, which is a cornerstone of the Christian faith, was taught to the children not only as a formula for prayer but also as a means to understand fundamental values such as forgiveness, solidarity, and community.
The children had the opportunity to learn the prayer in its Spanish version:
« Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos,
santificado sea tu nombre;
venga tu reino;
hágase tu voluntad,
así en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy el pan nuestro de cada día;
perdona nuestras ofensas,
así como nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en la tentación,
y líbranos de mal.
Amén. »
